Google I/O 2020 Developer Conference is announced to be held between 12th May and 14th May at Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, California.

Like every other year, Google found an intriguing way to gain the attention of Android lovers and reveal the dates of the next I/O developer conference. The team presented a space-themed game named ‘A Collaboration of the Cosmos’ where users were asked to work collaboratively to reconstruct satellite networks.

A Collaboration of the Cosmos

When one visits the game’s site, they find a ‘map’ of the galaxy alongside a message sharing details about the mission and a few progress bars. On accepting the challenge, they are asked to use the information related to the constellation of satellites to resolve other details about them, name the group, allot them all frequencies – all via text inputs. When the game was completed, the constellation of satellites spelt out the developer conference dates, i.e, May 12,13,14.

At the same time, Google CEO Sundar Pichai shared in a tweet that I/O 2020 will be held at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. The same place in Mountain view where Google I/O 2016 and successive events held.

While this is all that has been confirmed about the upcoming I/O event, various rumours around the announcements are also prevailing in the market.

For example, with budget-friendly smartphones Pixel 3A and 3A XL being the key highlights of Google I/O 2019 event, Android enthusiasts are hoping to see Pixel 4A at the same time this year. They are showing excitement to come across the next Pixel device with a hole-punch display, a square camera bump, and a 3.5mm headphone jack at I/O event.

Likewise, the recent proof of smartphone code names found in Google’s applications have also hinted that the tech giant might introduce two new mid-range phones this year. While one of them will be powered by the Snapdragon 730, the other will come with the Snapdragon 765.

They are also hoping to hear some announcements around introduction of more Nest hardware like the Nest Hub Max at I/O event 2020.

Besides, various rumours have also been swirled related to the upcoming Android version. Both Android app developers and users are anticipating the beta release of Android 11, the successor of Android 10 at the event.

Such rumours have heated up the market and made everyone eager to attend the Google I/O 2020 event. However, no information about the tickets and pricing has yet come into the limelight

It has been assumed that Google will again rely upon a raffle where potential participants fill out an application to share their area of interest and reason for attending the event.

To get all the latest Google I/O event updates, stay tuned.
