A Brief Insight Into Important Announcements at WWDC 2017

WWDC is Apple’s Annual Worldwide Developers Conference that has begun in San Jose, California. In the small town San Jose the WWDC is the centre of attention and nothing can take the limelight away. Apple has announced a wide range of hardware products as well as software features at its annual developer’s conference on Monday.

Some Biggest Announcements from WWDC 2017

MacBook laptops and computers

MacBook laptop and computers with enhanced processors and memory power have allowed Apple to enhance its iMac desktop. Apple has also revealed a new iMac Pro that has a 5K screen and will come in the market at a price of $4,999.

macOS High Sierra

Apple has made an announcement about macOS High Sierra for its computers. It comes with a refined and faster Safari that blocks videos from playing automatically. It even block site trackers. Apple has also added amazing photo editing tools such as curves. This tool is very helpful for those who don’t have Adobe Photoshop.  Last but not the least, with better filtering tools, it can easily sort images by faces or keywords.  

iOS 11 for iPad

It includes a drag and drop, which gives users an easy way to switch between apps. It also includes a tool bar that predicts which app users want to open next. There is also a file section that pulls all files on a device from Apple and third party apps. It can easily bring files from Google Drive, DropBox and OneDrive to put them into one place to keep them well-organized.

HomePod Speaker

This is a 7-inch high speaker that is fitted with an A8 chip that adjusts sound based on the shape and size of the room and simply respond to commands. It is fitted with Siri and has been designed to give tough competition to Google Home Speakers and Amazon Echo.

iPad Pro with 10.5 inch screen

The new iPad Pro has a 10.5inch display with the rear-facing 12MP camera that can take 4K videos. On the other hand, it has a 7MP FaceTime camera that has capability of taking HD videos. It will start with  64GB memory, whereas the largest size will have 500GB.

WatchOS 4

WatchOS 4 by Apple has three new faces, including a Siri screen. It uses machine learning to give you the important information such as travel updates, meeting reminders and useful messages. The device will be available from Autumn. On the other hand, Apple music for the watch can easily pull together playlists, sync with the app and with controls, you can change the tracks in a hassle-free manner.    

AR Kit by Apple

Apple has also introduced a new ARKit that allows mobile app developers to build augmented reality apps for the iPhone. The best thing is that it can help in finding planes and estimate scale and ambient lighting. It is believed that Pokemon Go will make use of this kit for better real-time renders.  

At Apple’s WWDC 2017, key executives Phil Schiller, Craig Federighi, and Tim Cook took the stage to make all the above-mentioned announcements.
