First Google revamped Play Store app listings with the content changing depending on whether or not the app is installed in the user’s device, in March. Then, a few days back, Material Design 2.0 was launched, where designing elements around Colours, Icons, and Touched were redesigned. And now, on Friday, Apple has come up with the Apple Store update, making it similar to the App Store and iTunes Store.
The new Apple Store version 5.1 update has come with a series of changes in the Apple Store App available to download for free in the App Store.
With the new Apple Store update, users will now get voice search support, enabling them to say their query using the microphone icon placed in the Search bar. Along with this, you will also find a revamped search interface with products now displayed in card-based format.
The search query of Apple products that you make in the Apple Store will return with a list of ‘Trending Searches’. It has been done to keep users updated with all the new products that are being offered by Apple.
Describing the Apple Store update, the brand commented, “Search has been updated with an enhanced design. And it’s now powered with speech recognition technology for better search results.
With a fresh look and the addition of speech recognition technology, it’s never been easier to find products, stores, sessions, and more.”
In addition to the changes in the Apple Store app, the brand has also introduced changes in its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) app on the iOS store. All the bug fixes are now live in the app along with a series of performance improvements.
With brands like Google and Apple continuously making changes in their product offering with the aim of making them more accessible and easy to use, the importance of constant change continues to get validated.
